ESM 2011: Stoney Run

The next ESM will take place National Volunteer Week, April 11-15, 2011.

Volunteer registration is now open.  We currently need volunteers for every day of the project.  Pre-registration is NOT required but is appreciated.  All volunteers will report to the registration tent in the parking lot next to the Kmart at 401 Oriana Road.

Project Sites

During the week of Extreme Stream, we will be completing projects at the Stoney Run Athletic Complex, Grissom Library, Chowan Ditch and Denbigh High School.  We will also be holding several trash cleanups in the watershed.

We are currently in the project design phase.  Potential projects include retrofitting existing stormwater treatment areas, wetland and rain garden plantings, stream side buffer plantings and installing rain barrels.
