Join – When you become a JRA member, you show your commitment to improving the health of the James River. As a member, you’ll receive a membership card; “Tidings” our quarterly newsletter; you’ll be invited to river-related events, including our Annual Meeting; and you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you are furthering the work on the only organization devoted solely to the protection of the James River. Donate – JRA is a member-supported organization. Your generous contributions help JRA fulfill its mission to protect the James River for current and future generations to enjoy. Make a secure online donation here.

Buy bottled water – Ukrop’s Super Markets donates 2% of every purchase of its spring water to support the work of JRA. Look for our logo on the label. Please recycle. Don’t let your bottle end up in the river!

Make a purchase – Show your support for JRA. Buy exclusive JRA merchandise for yourself or as a gift in our Gift Shop.

Let your voice be heard – Be an advocate for the James River. Contact your legislators about issues pertaining to water quality and the river. Find your legislator on the Virginia General Assembly website.

Volunteer – Your help is always appreciated on any of JRA’s watershed restoration projects. Help restore critical habitat along the James and throughout the watershed. Get your hands dirty for a cleaner river, go to our Volunteer Center.
